Forklift Operator / Flatbed Load Associate

Location - Anchorage, AK

Full-time

Shift: 10am - 6:30pm or 8am - 4:30pm Sunday - Thursday

Pay $20 - $21 per hour DOE plus overtime

Summary: Warehouse Associate

Forklift Operator / Flatbed Load Associate position spends most of the day using a forklift to load and offload product to flatbed trailers, and organize freight to be loaded on the outgoing trucks. This position offers frequent opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Associate

• Load and unload flat beds trucks.
  

• Mark incoming freight appropriately.
  

• Move freight around yard and warehouse using a forklift or other moving equipment.
  

• Complete freight paperwork accurately and timely.
  

• Ensure that freight is loaded, unloaded, palatalized and marked appropriately.
  

• Assist customers as necessary.
  

• Consistently follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings.

Experience

Prior Experience loading flatbed trucks desired

Certificates/Licenses:

• Forklift Certification preferred but not required
  

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Must be able to push or pull heavy loads (up to 200 pounds)
  

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  

• Must be able to operate all equipment in a warehouse which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of the hands and feet
  

• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
  

Drug Screen (not including cannabis) and Background Check required.
