We are looking for a talented and experienced UX Designer to join our client, an innovator in the Lifesciences AI space. This is a hybrid role in Tarrytown, NY or Basking Ridge, NJ with 3 days onsite/week. Overview Seeking a UX designer to design, and lead user experience and user engagement aspects to create superior digital experience across all employees to support Enterprise Data Portal, COVID Dashboard and centralized data systems designed to collect, store, process, and analyze enterprise dataset. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Architecture : Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into design Conduct usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and other user research methods to gain insights into user needs and behaviors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, constraints, and opportunities, ensuring designs are feasible and effective. Create and present clear and persuasive design solutions to stakeholders, demonstrating the impact on user experience. Develop modern, visually appealing UI designs that are intuitive and align with the latest design trends. Leverage qualitative research and data to support design decisions and improve user experience. Produce wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and other deliverables that showcase the design process and final solutions. Maintain a strong understanding of the latest design tools and methodologies, particularly Figma. Be self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality work. Document and present architecture, along with pros & cons to senior IT leadership Design Leadership : Lead the UX design process from concept to completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, AI specialists, and product managers to create a cohesive and engaging user experience. Develop and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards. User Research and Testing : Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of different types of users, including end users, developers, and AI evangelists. Perform usability testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the user experience. Interaction Design : Design intuitive and interactive user interfaces for both the chatbot and web UI. Ensure that the chat and web interfaces are interdependent and adapt based on user interactions. Develop strategies to enhance user engagement and satisfaction. Monitor and analyze user engagement metrics to identify areas for improvement. Prototyping and Wireframing : Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas effectively. Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results. Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with the development team to ensure the implementation of the design aligns with the user experience vision. Communicate design concepts and solutions clearly to stakeholders and team members. Qualifications Experience : 5+ years of experience in UX Proven experience designing and shipping high-utility mobile or desktop applications. Working knowledge of usability testing methodologies and conducting stakeholder interviews. Expert understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices. A portfolio showcasing design solutions for modern user interfaces and interactions (not just artifacts). Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to stakeholders and team members. Proficient in leveraging research and data to drive design recommendations. Experience with qualitative research methods to understand user needs and define design solutions. Expert-level proficiency in Figma and other design tools. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with scientific business & IT leaders and or with pharma/.biotech organizations Undergrad or Grad degree (or diploma) in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field. Proven experience as a UX Designer, UX Lead, or similar role. Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design skills and projects. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar. Experience with user research and usability testing. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to think critically and solve complex design problems. Experience in agile or iterative design processes. Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS) is a plus. VTal Technology Solutions
