HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland.

Registered Nurse – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)

Facility: Sinai Hospital – LifeBridge Health
Location: 2401 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215
Duration: 14 weeks
Unit: 4 South – CVICU | Mixed ICU (CVICU-focused)

Shift Details:

• Shift: Night shift | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Float: Yes – may float to all units including ED; assignments based on skill/scope
• On-Call: Not required

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years ICU experience, 2 of those in staff CVICU required
• Travel Experience: Not required
• License: Active MD RN license or Compact RN license required at submission
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (AHA only)
  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • NIHSS
  • CALS (preferred)
  • 16-hour Maryland Trauma Certification required by Week 27 of contract

Skills & Clinical Experience:

Cardiovascular & Critical Care:

• CABG, Valve Replacement/Repair
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Post-op cardiac surgery (direct/indirect from OR)
• ECMO (preferred)
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, LVAD/RVAD
• CVP, Swan-Ganz, Epicardial Pacing Wires
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Continuous IV sedation & paralytics
• Emergency medication administration

Respiratory:

• Ventilator management
• BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Chest tube management

Neurology:

• Stroke, CVA, Traumatic Brain Injury
• Lumbar Drains, EVDs (preferred)
• Post-neurosurgical care
• ICP monitoring

Additional:

• Arterial line management
• Central/PICC/Peripheral IV care
• Blood product administration
• Infection prevention & isolation protocols
• Phlebotomy
• Surgical wound care & wound vacs
• Renal: CVVHD/CRRT, acute/chronic renal failure
• IV insulin protocols

• Setting: CVICU within a mixed ICU
• Patient Type: Post-cardiac surgery, complex ICU, and occasional overflow patients
• Support Services:
  • Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology
  • Pharmacy
