West River Mental Health is accepting applications for an overnight Team Lead Behavior Health Technician. This position provides guidance training and support to Behavior Health Technicians to ensure that Pivot Point runs efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis. Assist staff and individuals entering the program. Support and maintain an environment that is client driven, recovery oriented, and outcome informed. Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Support clients in access to natural resources and support system and allow for a more seamless transition to community-based resources and support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. General knowledge of mental illness.
  2. Knowledge of and skill in using computer keyboard for typing and data entry.
  3. Ability to interact professionally with clients and customers in person and by telephone.
  4. Ability to work successfully in a positive, professional, flexible team environment.
  5. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  6. Ability to maintain a South Dakota driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance and safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent with preference for experience in a human services field. Associate degree in the social sciences or human services field and two years’ experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:

Hand and finger dexterity for computer keyboarding. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and frequent bending, stooping and light to moderate lifting exerting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
