Truck Driver Position

Immediate opening for a dedicated solo non CDL truck driver. Join Ryder in Indianapolis, IN. Your paycheck will be $925 or more per week. Driver positions pay weekly. Hours per week: 40. Solo miles pay: $0.39 per mile with 901 miles per week. Solo stops pay: $12.00 per stop with 48 stops per week. Paid training. Schedule: Monday Friday, no weekends. Start time: early AM. Deliver solo to: 80 mile radius of Indianapolis, IN. Route: local home daily. Truck type: box truck- 16', 22' & 26'. Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate & hand truck. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight: touch auto parts trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities:

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
