An engineering firm in Phoenix is seeking an Archaeological Monitor to join our team. The Archaeological Monitor will be responsible for overseeing cultural resources during construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct archaeological surveys and assessments.
Monitor and document compliance activities throughout projects.
Communicate effectively with the Archaeological Field Lead and construction personnel to address any issues.
Provide guidance to personnel on cultural resource regulations and compliance.
Ensure culturally sensitive areas are properly marked and flagged, and regularly work with signage and flagging.
Maintain and submit daily monitoring compliance reports to the Archaeological Field Lead.

Skills and Requirements
1+ year experience of cultural resources fieldwork
Comfortability working outside and working project based
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Valid Drivers License mileage reimbursed used of personal vehicle will be required Archaeology experience working on BLM lands in the southwestern United States
Strong working knowledge of cultural resource legislation and regulations
Master's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field of study null
