Under the direction of a designated mentor, the Welding Apprentice will be trained in welding preparation including:

\n
• MIG welding
\n
• Robotic Welding
\n
• Metal Finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications
\n

\n
Essential Functions:

\n
• Follow all Spacesaver safety policies and procedures
\n
• Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training
\n
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
\n
• Understand and practice 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
\n

Required Skills

Qualifications

\n
• Enrolled in a youth apprenticeship program through high school or college curriculum
\n
• Enrolled in or taken Technical Education courses associated with welding and/or fabrication
\n
• Ability to work Monday through Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m.
\n
