Job Description

SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a fast growing 135-person full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in construction management & inspection, project & program management, civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector. SIE is seeking highly motivated leaders to join our team to accelerate our growth through quality service exemplified by integrity, hard work, reliability, responsiveness, resourcefulness, optimism, and creative thinking. SIE is looking for a Vice President – Construction Management to oversee our growing operations in providing construction management services for public sector building construction projects. This is a highly visible senior manager role that will be responsible for managing existing projects and provide executive skill and support in winning new work and growing the division. This role will report to the Firm’s Executive Vice President, Jay Badame. Responsibilities: Overall management of construction management projects Managing overall project team, including budget and schedule Serve as primary point of contact to the client on all project matters Responsible for overall project delivery and quality Identifying and recommending candidates for lead project roles Identifying, strategizing, and winning new work Provide technical leadership to the group Supervise and mentor the team Participate in strategic positioning for major regional project opportunities Ensure the growth of the division by winning new work with existing and new clients Qualification & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar PE, RA, or CCM certification strongly preferred 20+ years of experience with a Project, Program, or Construction Management Firm, with 10+ years of experience leading construction management teams for building construction projects as a project manager or similar role Experience with public agencies such as NYCHA, NYCSCA, NYCDDC, DASNY, CUNY and other similar agencies Experience with design-build projects preferred A demonstrated ability to cultivate new clients, identify opportunities, and win work Strong relationships within the industry including within agency, consultant, and contractor community Ability to take ownership and be accountable for projects and personnel Excellent communication skills and work ethic A demonstrated ability to independently lead and support business development and proposal activities A demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of segments of the individual projects, outline the tasks, manpower and equipment requirements, establish fees, scope and project budgets and outline a project schedule A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports to communicate verbally and in writing to all parties involved Expected salary range is $200,000 - $300,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
