Job Description As an Omni Starbucks Barista, you will create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with the Starbucks guiding principles, the Omni Trilogy Culture, and contribute to a company consistently rated as a great place to work. Responsibilities Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks and Omni Hotels & Resorts. Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operations at standard and set a positive example for the shift team. Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues. Communicate information to the manager so the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift. Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager. Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer‑comes‑first attitude and connecting with the customer, discovering and responding to customer needs. Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including Omni policies for cash handling, safety, and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift. Count bank deposit at the end of all assigned register shifts and balance the house bank. Maintain a clean and organized workspace so partners can locate resources and product as needed. Maintain all Omni Hotels & Resorts attendance and punctuality standards. Maintain all Moments of Service standards. Maintain Omni Starbucks uniform and appearance standards. Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards; follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Attend all monthly store meetings and training sessions. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using Omni Service Champion (OSC) cards. Recognize and embrace Starbucks’ commitment to environmental responsibility through recycling, ethical growing, conservation, and green planet practices. Qualifications Ability to learn quickly. Ability to memorize a large number of beverage recipes in an appropriate timely manner. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Some Starbucks, coffee house, or F&B experience preferred.
