Shuttle Driver – Airport Shuttles

Location: Flushing, New York
Job Type: Full-time & Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour plus cash tip
Shift & Schedule: AM and PM shifts available

Responsibilities
Drive the shuttle bus and transport customers to and from the facility.
Greet passengers and provide assistance with loading and unloading luggage.
Operate the shuttle bus safely and efficiently, complying with all traffic and safety regulations.
Monitor vehicle condition and record any malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms.
Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and other employees via a two‑way radio system to report routes, arrivals, delays, and coordinate customer pickups.
Conduct pre and post‑trip inspections of the shuttle bus at the beginning and end of each shift.
Monitor traffic and weather conditions and notify dispatch or supervisor of potential problems.
Report accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
Treat all customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of continuous driving experience.
Valid CDL (Class A, B, or C) with passenger endorsements.
DOT medical card.
Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts.
Energetic, outgoing, and physically able to stand, run, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional approach.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and resolve customer issues positively.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Good to Have
1+ year of customer service experience.
1+ year of experience driving a shuttle bus or commercial vehicle.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, handling tools or controls, reaching with arms, talking, and hearing. The employee may occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 lbs. While performing duties, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.

Lo que buscamos

Requisitos indispensables
Tener al menos 18 años.
Poseer licencia de conducir válida y al menos 3 años de experiencia conduciendo.
Capacidad para operar una van o autobús de pasajeros de manera segura y eficiente.
Disponibilidad para trabajar horarios flexibles, tardes y fines de semana.
Energía, actitud positiva y capacidad para permanecer de pie, correr y levantar hasta 50 lbs si es necesario.
Excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal, con una actitud amable y profesional.
Capacidad para trabajar en entornos de ritmo rápido y resolver problemas de los clientes de forma positiva y útil.
Deseable
Experiencia en servicio al cliente 1 año o más.
Experiencia conduciendo autobuses de transporte o vehículos comerciales 1 año o más.
Demandas físicas & condiciones laborales
El empleado debe poder estar de pie, caminar, sentarse, usar las manos, manipular herramientas o controles, alcanzar con los brazos, hablar y escuchar. Ocasionalmente levantar y/o mover objetos de hasta 25 lbs.
El empleado puede estar expuesto a condiciones climáticas variables y partículas en el aire. El nivel de ruido puede variar de mínimo a moderado.
