Overview The Work The Senior Web Application Developer is responsible for designing, testing, and developing well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient, using the best software development practices to meet user needs. This role involves recommending software upgrades for current and future systems, translating User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes, ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and documenting every aspect of the application, service, or environment as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Design, test, and develop well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient. Utilize best software development practices to meet user needs. Recommend software upgrades for current and future systems. Translate User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes into functional web applications. Ensure software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing. Document every aspect of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features. Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code. Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the application remains current and competitive. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications – Here’s What You Need Bachelor’s Degree 8 years of experience. Proven experience in web application development. Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint. Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages. Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into functional applications. Strong understanding of software development best practices. Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades. Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of database management and integration. Understanding of web security best practices. Ability to document processes and code for future maintenance and upgrades. Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Strong technical skills in network hardware, software, and operating systems. Strong systems management and integration skills. Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency. Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time. Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature. Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work, M-F, between core hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET. Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time. Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen. May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays. May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes. May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
