We are looking for a caring and dependable caregiver to join our growing team! If you are passionate about helping people and seniors in particular, then come join our team as a Resident Caregiver for our Friday through Monday shift!

Shift hours:

6am - 2:30pm, Friday-Monday

(additional opportunity for hours may be available based on scheduling and availability)

Front Porch of Bowdon is looking to hire an outstanding new Caregiver for our weekend shift to join our 24 person strong team!

We are located on501 Mitchell Ave in downtown Bowdon GA. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, hard-working, and above all else, caring and compassionate. Duties involve assisting our residents with daily living, ensuring proper hygiene, and providing supportive companionship. We are a growing organization and we are looking for people to help us make us the best senior living community in Georgia!

Job Duties

  • Provide high quality resident care during your shifts as a member of the caregiving team
  • Assist residents with taking their medications and coordinating medication refills as needed.
  • Keep up with resident orders, calling providers to clarify any confusion.
  • Assisting residents in eating during meal times.
  • Coordinating with providers and family members as it relates to the specific needs of residents
  • Assist with needs of other departments as reasonable and necessary
  • Take initiative and work on special projects as needed to improve the community
  • Other duties as required by a supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Be a caring, compassionate, and reliable person who loves working with elders.
  • Be at least 18 years old and be eligible to work in the US.
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or higher education.
  • Have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 1 year previous caregiving experience
  • At least 1 year experience in medication management preferred
  • Be able to pass a state-mandated background and finger print check
  • CNA or other relevant certifications a plus.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds, stand on feet for extended periods of time
  • American Heart Association BLS (CPR) certification, or willing to get prior to starting work
  • Complete all new hire training requirements within 30 days of hire
  • Be able to pass a Drug Free Workplace new hire urine drug screen

Compensation

  • Our starting pay is $12/hr with a pay adjustment at 90 days from hire date based on performance. Pay otherwise negotiable based on experience/certifications.
  • +$1/hr night differential for any hours worked during 3rd shift.
  • A performance pay adjustment available after 90 day probationary period.
  • PTO for all full-time and part-time employees
  • Dental, vision, short-term disability, accident, life, and hospital insurance available after 60 days from hire.
