Senior CAD Designer
Overview:
Seeking a Senior CAD Designer, focusing on 3D plant models and engineering drawings for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Create 2D fabrication and layout drawings.
- Design piping layouts and pipeline profiles.
- Utilize corporate standards for clarity and consistency.
- Model piping systems with diverse materials.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI, ASME, and AWWA standards.
- Collaborate with engineers for validation.
- Integrate instrumentation into models and drawings.
- Coordinate with Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers.
- Produce high-quality, annotated drawings.
- Maintain document management and revision controls.
- Support interdisciplinary model integrity.
Qualifications Required:
- 8+ years in 3D CAD design for water treatment plants.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Strong understanding of piping, materials, and instrumentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with modular systems or prefabricated packages.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, Revit, or Inventor.
Education and Certifications:
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or related field.
- Advanced certification in AutoCAD preferred.
Work Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional site visits.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
