What You Will Be Doing:

As the scheduler, you will be responsible for the management of the production schedule, inventory, and correct allocation of material/supplied resources to the production team.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Input projects.
  • Track parts and pieces.
  • Schedule and plot production.
  • Communicate effectively with Production Area Leads.
  • Evaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
  • Estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
  • Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production.
  • Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
  • Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
  • Effect changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Compile status and performance reports and submit to management in a timely manner.
  • Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
  • Coordinate customer shipping and resolve conflicts.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving for supplier/vendor shipment.
  • Manage and escalate any backlog from supplies.
  • Report on supplier performance with purchasing and quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Former project management experience preferred.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus - read, write, and speak Spanish.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willing to speak up / be bold.
  • Financial aptitude.
  • Budgeting of resources / time management.
  • CAT, SCAR, Toyota A3/Cat8D 8 step problem, 5 why.
  • 5S and organizational skills.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should be organized, show an attention for detail, and have a sense of urgency. You should have intermediate computer skills, be safety conscious, and have both electrical and mechanical aptitude. The ability to multitask, problem solve, and provide superior customer service are essential to this position as well.
