Requisition ID: 177576 Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Power Constructors District Department: Safety Market: Power Employment Type: Full Time Responsibilities Safety Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures specific to power generation projects; ensure that safety protocols are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and Kiewit safety standards; conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and assess safety risks. Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors; provide guidance on safety-related certifications and qualifications required for specific job roles; promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization. Incident Management and Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents; analyze root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence; ensure timely reporting of all safety incidents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and standards applicable to power generation projects; maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies; coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits. Safety Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure safety performance on projects; conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate adherence to safety standards and identify areas for improvement; provide timely and accurate safety reports to project management and senior leadership. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial or equivalent degree/work experience 5-10 years of experience in Heavy Industrial and/or Solar projects Strong work ethic; good interpersonal and organizational skills Must be able to act independently with little or no supervision and work collaboratively on a team environment Ability to operate a standard personal computer as well as knowledge of and experience with standard office computer software Ability to carry out duties in varying work environments including wide ranging weather conditions and terrain Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements is preferred
