Confidential – R&D Chemist (Inks & Coatings)

West Chicago, IL | $84K–$110K | 1st Shift | Direct Hire

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Formulate and develop new UV Flexo and UV Screen inks based on customer requirements
• Troubleshoot existing formulations and support customer and manufacturing challenges
• Conduct testing and evaluation of raw materials to optimize formulations for performance and cost savings
• Provide technical reports and updates directly to sales and customers
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure accurate data entry (formulas, test results)
• Spend ~80% of time hands-on in the lab, ~20% on documentation
• Occasional travel (<20%) for customer site visits

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of R&D Chemist experience (inks or coatings required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science
• Strong background in ink/coatings formulation ; UV ink or coatings experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with lab testing equipment and Excel for data entry/reporting
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-moving, project-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative mindset
