Job Description

*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled EEG Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in neurodiagnostic procedures and demonstrate proficiency in performing electroencephalograms (EEGs) to assist in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment, particularly in neurocritical care settings.

*Responsibilities*

* Conduct EEG tests, ensuring accurate placement of electrodes and adherence to established protocols.
* Monitor patients during procedures, observing vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
* Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret EEG results and contribute to diagnostic evaluations.
* Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of the testing area, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
* Document patient information, test results, and any relevant medical history accurately.
* Educate patients and their families about the EEG process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
* Stay current with advancements in neurophysiology and medical terminology related to EEG practices.

*Requirements*

* Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to neurology.
* Experience working in a neurocritical care environment or emergency medicine is preferred.
* Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques specific to EEGs.
* Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
* Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately during procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for patient interaction and teamwork.
* Certification as an EEG Technologist is preferred but not mandatory for applicants with relevant experience. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.62 - $33.51 per hour
