About Us

At Weatherwize, we specialize in high-quality log home restoration, construction, and preservation services across the region. Since 2008, we’ve built our reputation on craftsmanship, safety, and integrity. Our crews don’t just restore log homes—we protect heritage and create legacies.

Position Summary

The Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for supervising field crews in the repair, restoration, and construction of log homes. This position combines skilled craftsmanship with team leadership—ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and up to Weatherwize’s standards of excellence. You’ll serve as the key link between company leadership, clients, and crew members, managing projects from the field with accountability and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a crew of technicians and apprentices on log home restoration and construction projects.
  • Plan, delegate, and oversee daily work, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Perform and guide specialized tasks such as blasting, staining, sealing, rot repair, chinking, and log replacement.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely by enforcing company safety policies and conducting site checks.
  • Train and mentor crew members in technical skills, craftsmanship, and best practices.
  • Communicate project progress and needs with company leadership.
  • Represent Weatherwize on-site with professionalism and customer care.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles in safe and working order.
  • Troubleshoot challenges and adapt plans to changing site conditions.

  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or log home restoration (leadership experience preferred).
  • Strong ability to read plans, measure accurately, and problem-solve in the field.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on teamwork, motivation, and accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight for multi-day projects.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, lifts).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely for extended periods.
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a hands-on leader —someone who leads by example, values craftsmanship, and inspires their crew to do excellent work. The right candidate is dependable, solution-focused, and passionate about preserving the tradition of log homes while guiding others to succeed.

Our Core Values
  • Accountability – Own your work and your leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement – Always strive for higher standards.
  • Integrity – Lead with honesty and fairness.
  • Diligence – Manage projects with focus and discipline.
  • Adaptability – Navigate challenges with resilience.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience ($30–$45/hr+)
  • Performance-based bonuses and advancement opportunities
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Company gear and tools provided
  • Ongoing leadership and technical training
