Job Description

Performance of shop tasks as assigned. May include assembly, fabrication, deburring, cleaning, packaging, operation of machines and saws, operation of forklift and/or material handling equipment. Maintenance tasks may also be assigned.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent or comparable experience.
Experience & Training
5+ year(s) work experience of similar nature within the manufacturing industry. Experience with ISO 9001 environment a plus.
Skills & Abilities

• Good oral and written communication skills (Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus);
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills to deal with people at all levels within the organization and outside;
• Good systems and software skills - word processing, spreadsheets, computer applications; Advanced Mathematic skills;
• Knowledge of general office practices;
• Knowledge of company practices and procedures; Ability to pay close attention to detail, work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Ability to organize, prioritize and successfully multitask;
• Be adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage, direct, and assist production personnel as necessary.
• Manage time off requests and absences to minimize impact to department and production schedules.
• Plan, prioritize, and delegate job duties to ensure proper day to day functions of the entire department.
• Quality control inspections and sign-off as noted on the job traveler.
• Maintaining and completing documentation as specified by quality procedures and the job traveler.
• Assist production personnel with tooling/job set-ups.
• Provide suggestions to accurately document the manufacturing processes on the job traveler.
• Verify material yields are accurate and/or provide suggestions to optimize material use.
• Performing general clean-up and maintenance of work area.
• Follow all safety procedures as discussed in training and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Basic or normal lifting up to 50 pounds (aided), sitting, standing, hearing, vision, and manual dexterity abilities are essential functions of this job.
Open warehouse environment with varied working conditions (heat, cold, wind, dry, noise, etc.)
Necessary safety equipment required. Requires appropriate clothing including long pants, solid/protective footwear

 

$30 per hour 

Monday-Friday 7:00am-$3:30pm
