Practice Manager: Ophthalmology Clinic - Days (Monday through Friday) University of Missouri Health Care. Shift: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Department: Ophthalmology Clinic. Compensation Base Pay Range: $84,427.20 – $137,654.40 per year, based on experience.   • Create a high‑performing team by interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and leading staff within assigned areas.
  • Assist with the development, administration, and achievement of the budget and financial targets of the assigned clinic(s).
  • Achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction by creating a culture of yes, investigating and responding to patient problems and complaints, and following up on satisfaction surveys.
  • Achieve and maintain high staff satisfaction by leading, developing, and supporting a high-performing team.
  • Communicate with staff to keep them informed of goals, expectations, policy/procedure changes, and activities.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of patient services by implementing improvements to patient access and efficient patient flow.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor staffing levels, productivity, and throughput.
  • Coordinate and direct development of processes and procedures for assigned areas.
  • Develop and produce monthly practice activity reports related to clinical, financial, and operational outcomes.
  • Manage daily staffing schedules and monitor time/attendance.
  • May complete other duties as outlined in department documents.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting and one (1) year of supervisory experience. One (1) year of experience in a healthcare‑related fellowship program and a master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related area may substitute for the experience and supervisory requirements. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a health or business related field; Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration; Two (2) years of supervisory experience; Experience in a medical practice or ambulatory care; Experience with finance, budgets, and process improvement strongly preferred. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. Physical Demands The job requires ambulating, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching and/or moving objects up to 10 lb. Other physical tasks may be required.
