Physical Therapy Assistant

Location: Paoli, Broomall, or Brinton Lake

Organization: Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder

Overview

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team . Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an integral member of the treatment team, responsible for executing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This full-time role involves working Monday through Friday in an outpatient orthopedic setting .

Key responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, and other departments
  
• Execute patient care plans in full compliance with state board recommendations and guidelines
  
• Respond to patient questions and inquiries to resolve problems and maintain high patient standards
  
• Document treatments, patient progress, and other information in the medical record per state practice act
  
• Integrate fully as a primary member of the treatment team for assigned caseloads
  
• Comply with department policies and procedures, including OSHA and infection control regulations
  
• Assist with training Physical Therapy Technicians as needed
  
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program required

Licenses & Certifications:

Current state PTA certification required

Experience:

• Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic or equivalent experience preferred
