Full -time offshore HVAC Technician position based out of Central/South Louisiana.

Duties and Responsibilities:

I nstallation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems on offshore platforms and facilities.

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting : Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using testing equipment and visual inspection. Address and resolve issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Preventive Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to prolong equipment life and efficiency.

Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Report any deficiencies or issues to the management team.

Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and team members to ensure seamless operation of HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in an offshore or industrial setting.

HVAC/R Certification and valid TWIC Card. Solid understanding of EPA regulations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Must be able to travel offshore by helicopter and crew boat

24/7 hour on call rotation

Have own hand tools

Offshore experience 

Good customer relations skills

Attend training classes and/or seminars as required.

Should have general computer skills and be capable of utilizing the computer as an appropriate diagnostic tool

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English

Certificates and Licenses:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as maintain an acceptable driving record

Physical Demands

Ability to work in physically demanding and confined spaces. Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.

Often required to lift heavy objects 

Spend long periods of time standing

Work reasonable lengths of time in hot and cold environments 

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
