Summary: We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist with proficiency in Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCS) for a role that would be temp-to-hire. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and full payment of invoices from third-party payers and self-pay patients as well as other duties associated with revenue cycle operations. Job Responsibilities: + Manage all aspects of billing and collections for AHCCS. + Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtain any missing information. + Maintain knowledge of changes or updates in the AHCCS requirements and processing. + Ensure billing operations are in compliance with legal and procedural policies and regulations. + Establish payment arrangements and follow up on delinquent accounts. + Work closely with the care management team on pre-authorizations and patient financial counseling. + Prepare, review, and send patient statements. + Execute adjustments to patient demographic, insurance, and financial information as necessary.
