Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern , you will play a vital role in driving the innovation, quality, and effectiveness of our product design processes. You will be responsible for analysis, design, improvement, and documentation of new and existing product design and updates. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance, you will contribute to the successful design of high-quality Trystar products for customers. This position requires a willingness to learn, strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize current designs and drive innovation.

In this role you will get to:

• Demonstrate Trystar’s guiding principles and values.
• Work directly with a mentor while finding solutions to real world problems.
• Work on projects that are related to your areas of interest and study with a high level of autonomy and ownership. These projects are designed to bring value to our business.
• Assist in mechanical model generation and updates via ECO processes including 3D models, 2D prints, assembly diagrams, and outlines.
• Work with electrical design to optimize system design and manufacturability.
• Deliver cost reduction and continuous improvement projects and collaborate with the cross-functional team to complete assigned projects on time.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions, procedures, and documentation for design and change processes. Standardize operations to ensure consistency, safety, and quality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the production team during the manufacturing process. Resolve production issues, implement process changes, and ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
• Experience our products up close by working in our manufacturing facility in an on-site position at the Burnsville, MN facility.
• Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.
• Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in the electrical power industry.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the manufacturing environment. Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.

Job Requirements:

• A passion for Trystar, its culture, and its strategic vision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• 3D modeling experience with SolidWorks or equivalent sketch-based modeling software.
• Ability to work, communicate, and function within all levels of an organization.
• Ability to learn all policies, rules, and procedures and interpret, train and give guidance their meanings.
• Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness and ability to function and work well in a team environment.
• Able to solve problems creatively and analytically.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high growth, rapid changing manufacturing environment.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset who thrives in a results-driven culture.
• Pursing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.
