Job Title: Marketing Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: Primary work at 4200 Smith School Rd., Austin, TX 78744 (Hybrid: On-site 1x/week or as needed)
Hours: Part-Time, 20-30 hours/week
Compensation: Conversion salary range of $56,000 - $60,000/year
About the Role:
One of our most prestigous government clients is seeking a dynamic Marketing Specialist to support its mission through innovative, integrated marketing campaigns. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives that promote conservation, outdoor recreation, and public awareness. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will help craft compelling messaging and deliver measurable results across diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Management & Coordination: Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring complex, multicultural marketing campaigns for various programs, including revenue-generating initiatives such as Conservation License Plates, Big Time Texas Hunts, and hunting/fishing license sales.
- Project Oversight: Coordinate and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. Collaborate with external advertising agencies on creative development, estimates, and campaign performance.
- Content Creation & Management: Write and edit engaging copy for social media, web content, emails, print materials, and landing pages. Collaborate with interactive/creative services team to produce captivating digital and print assets.
- Performance Measurement: Track campaign results using metrics and analytics, providing insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including fisheries, wildlife, and state parks divisions, to gather data, develop business plans, and support outreach efforts.
- Special Projects: Manage specific initiatives such as the Toyota ShareLunker program aimed at recruiting ethnically diverse anglers, ensuring creative consistency, and measuring campaign success.
- Development of Marketing Strategies: Participate in creating marketing plans, briefs, grant applications, and reports, ensuring messaging reaches and resonates with diverse audiences.
- Partnership & Sponsorship Support: Assist in researching, targeting, and pitching potential sponsorships and partnerships aligned with R3 (Recruit, Retain, Reactivate) goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in marketing-related roles, including advertising account management or brand management.
- Proven success in managing marketing projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Experience coordinating with external agencies on creative development, estimates, and campaign performance.
- Strong writing skills for various channels, including social media, web, print, and email.
- Ability to analyze campaign results, prepare reports, and optimize strategies accordingly.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Digital marketing expertise, including online advertising campaigns, tracking, and analytics.
- Experience working with government agencies, nonprofits, or conservation organizations is a plus.
- Knowledge of multicultural marketing strategies and engagement with diverse communities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Additional Details:
- Work Schedule: Normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with flexibility as coordinated.
- Travel: Some travel may be required, expenses to be approved and reimbursed in accordance with State of Texas policies.
- Remote/On-site: Hybrid model; on-site presence at least once per week or as needed.
