La Cheim has been providing a robust continuum of care for nearly 50 years to help children and adults who were previously unreachable. Our non-public school, community mental health center, therapeutic behavioral services program, and Short-Term Residential Treatment Program offer educational and mental health services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa County.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The High Fidelity Wraparound Coach facilitates a team process to give families voice and choice with the outcome of youth with behavioral health issues living in a stable family or community setting. The Coach also supports program fidelity and development through individual and group training and support.

The physical duties associated with this position are consistent with duties associated with work performed in an office setting. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  1. Bachelors degree in social work, psychology or counseling or another related field. Demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and life experience.
  2. Minimum of two years of work experience in management.
  3. Experience working in a nonprofit setting preferred.
  4. Must be able to pass all required tests and clearances (Live Scan (DOJ, FBI, Guardian, TB test, etc.)
  5. The ability to document provided services effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Must be skilled in team collaboration, time management, and working with clients with severe mental illnesses.
  7. Culturally sensitive and skillful at collaborating with a diverse population.
  8. Steady, even temperament ability to project calmness and courtesy.
  9. Maintains fixed and regular scheduled hours.
  10. Professional licensure and required supervision coursework current.

  9. Ability to travel to sites within 15 to 30 mile radius of the office.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  1. Must be a Certified Wraparound Facilitator.
  2. Must successfully pass all required background screenings.
  3. Valid CA Drivers License, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet La Cheims driving record requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The following is the extent of the specific activity required for this position:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Oversee Program Development* 70%

  1. Receive, verify and assign referrals. Communicate with county workers re: status of cases.
  2. Plan and evaluate youth programs
  3. Complete monthly billing and monitor collections. Work with contract managers to resolve billing issues.
  4. Develop and maintain La Cheims partnerships to benefit families.
  5. Create and implement new policies and procedures in consultation with senior leadership.
  6. Collect statistical information and program outcomes.
  7. Monitor field for best practices.
  8. Market program to counties and community organization

Supervisory Responsibilities* 30%

  1. Manages employee and team performance; ensures adequate training for employees; communicates job expectations and coach employees; supports employee professional development aspirations; investigates complaints and performance concerns; implements disciplinary action as needed and in consultation with MACC Human Resource Services.
  2. Manages the hiring process for positions within this team; develops and updates job descriptions; develops performance expectations, identifies essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required; assigns work shifts; completes position requisition forms; forms selection committees, if applicable, and ensures compliance with organization processes for interview and selection of employees.
  3. Manages and ensures effective employee relations; creates an ethical, inclusive, non-discriminatory, and safe work environment; establishes effective communication lines/methods; identifies and solves employee problems; manages conflict, responds to and resolves grievances.
  4. Accepts resignations; initiates terminations and executes layoff actions following established protocols.
  5. Reviews and approves leave and overtime requests; completes and reviews time cards in a timely manner, ensuring all information submitted is accurate to the best of the incumbents knowledge.
  6. Ensures all personnel changes for this team are entered into the Human Resources Management System in a timely fashion to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  7. Maintain competencies in contract required Wraparound models to effectively supervise, coach and train staff.

FLSA determination criteria: This position is exempt on an administrative basis as it regularly receives a predetermined amount of pay constituting all of the employees salary which is above the federal minimum, primary duty consists of performing office work directly related to the management and general business operations of the employer, and the work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Complete all required trainings as assigned
  2. Attend all mandatory meetings
  3. Meet regularly for individual oversight with supervisor(s)
  4. Other duties may be required as La Cheim continues its development. Employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of duties.
  5. Understand and embody La Cheim's philosophy, organizational culture, and communication channels by practicing a collaborative approach.
  6. Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor, Department Head, and/or CEO
  7. Provide consultation to group home staff and assist in establishing behavior expectations.
  8. Interact with residents appropriately within the environment. Be able to respond effectively during crisis situations
  9. Attend scheduled team and staff meetings; facilitate conferences with residents to enhance participation.
  10. Meet regularly with supervisor to evaluate student progress
  11. Attend IEP meetings as scheduled
  12. Maintain professional behavior and boundaries in all interactions with residents and staff
  13. Employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of duties.
  14. Participate in the monthly relevant training provided by Relias and complete other assigned training.
