Salary: 40,000-45,000 + Commission

Job Overview: The Health Insurance Consultant will provide expert advice and personalized service to clients seeking health insurance solutions. This role involves evaluating client needs, recommending suitable insurance plans, and assisting with enrollment and claims issues. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional with a passion for helping people make informed healthcare coverage decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess individual client needs to recommend appropriate health insurance plans, including ACA marketplace, Medicare, and private options.

• Guide clients through plan comparisons, enrollment processes, renewals, and policy changes.

• Stay current with healthcare laws, insurance products, and carrier guidelines to ensure accurate guidance and compliance.

• Provide post-enrollment support including claims assistance, billing inquiries, and problem resolution.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering consistent, high-quality service.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, plan recommendations, and compliance-related records.

• Collaborate with internal teams and insurance carriers to streamline processes and improve client experience.

• Educate clients on plan features, benefits, limitations, and how to use their coverage effectively.

• Work with Medicare/Marketplace only clients, cross selling other services offered within Buska.

• Ensure all client communications are logged, tracked, and followed up on in a timely manner.

• All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: This position is mainly sedentary. Must be able to get up and down at desk
frequently and walk around as needed. It is occasionally required (less than 5% of work hours) lifting, hauling of items in storage or marketing/seminar equipment. Not to exceed 50 pounds.

Job Specifications/Skills:

• State health insurance license required - Buska will assist the successful candidate in signing up for course and exam.

• 2+ years of experience in health insurance consulting, brokerage, or a related field.

• Knowledge of ACA, Medicare (Parts A, B, C, D), and group health plan offerings.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and quoting platforms.

• Ability to simplify complex insurance topics for clients with varying levels of understanding.
