From troubleshooting and repairs to preventative maintenance, your expertise will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations while maintaining detailed logs of all repairs. Your Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment including tractors, trailers, and reefers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to meet company standards.
  • Document all repair orders and maintain parts accountability.
  • Respond to road service calls and perform emergency road rescues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep track of repairs using the Shop Fax system.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Embrace opportunities for increased responsibility and certifications.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • A valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred.
    • 5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or 3 years with relevant certifications.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
  • Must provide your own personal hand tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends, including overtime when needed.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Tasks may include pushing/pulling heavy items, climbing, and bending.

Compensation and Benefits
