Responsibilities Responsibilities: We are looking to expand our finance team to support multi-million, multi-year large-scale facilities engineering operations and maintenance programs. The successful candidate will perform the following activities daily/periodically: Project Cost Control: Engage with project management to develop accurate budgets and manpower forecasts for multi-year programs. Monitor and control indirect costs through weekly budget vs. actual analysis, identifying root causes for variances, and communicating with project managers. Establish and monitor cash flow forecasts to ensure projects remain cash-positive, adjusting as necessary. Ensure timely and accurate complex billing submissions monthly. Manage contract reconciliations and change order tracking. Provide ad-hoc reports for project managers and executives. Conduct efficient monthly Key Project Reviews (KPR). Project Procurement Planning: Lead procurement planning, working with project teams to develop detailed procurement plans post-award, ensuring compliance and logistics. Assist in procuring the project according to plan before 20% completion. Perform monthly analysis of actual vs. planned procurement, providing justifications for adjustments. Project Controls: Assist with monthly financial forms, providing cost analysis and explanations for variances. Help prepare monthly financial reports for management review. Ensure acceptable justifications for all variances. Qualifications Experience: Knowledge of general accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail. Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Application of accounting principles to problem-solving. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 7+ years of experience. Desired Qualities Self-starter. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects. Independent worker with proactive communication. Eagerness to learn and advance within the company. Location/Travel Corporate Headquarters - Tysons, VA Occasional travel to project sites and other offices. Applicants may need to prove COVID-19 vaccination or demonstrate a valid exemption.
