Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) Analyst
Location: Hybrid – Menlo Park, California
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Team: Brokerage FP& A Team (Team of 10)
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable FP& A Analyst to join our Brokerage Finance team based in Menlo Park. This role has opened due to increased workload from multiple new product launches and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis, helping drive strategic decisions as part of a growing FP& A function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives on quickly getting up to speed in a dynamic team setting.
A background or strong interest in the financial services industry, particularly brokerage, fintech, or trading platforms—is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Support budgeting and forecasting processes for new and existing brokerage products
· Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support revenue and cost projections
· Analyze operating costs, revenue trends, and performance metrics
· Partner with cross-functional teams to support business planning and product financials
· Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and presentations for senior leadership
· Assist with improving processes and tools across reporting and work streams
· Communicate effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
· Use collaboration tools such as Slack and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
· 2–5 years of relevant experience in FP& A or a finance-related role
· Strong Excel skills (e.g., financial modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables)
· Proven ability to learn quickly and contribute in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
· Background or strong interest in the financial services industry
· Experience with cloud-based collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace)
