Finance Intern

As a Finance Intern you will assist in the development and implementation of policies and practices for financial management, payroll, budget control, accounting and other topics that may arise. How you will make contributions that matter:

• Build a useful costing file through analyzing plant profitability by item using labor, overhead, packaging, cheese, and trim costs.
• Identify the top ten customers by sales channel and analyze the impact on the sales channel's total profitability.
• Provide a full operations-through-sales profitability for two key customers.
• Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases, and other computer applications.
• Manage specialized information, reports, forms dealing with fees, billing, tracking of projects, etc.
• Collect, evaluate, and interpret data, in both its statistical and narrative forms.
• Accurately prepare files and maintain records and documentations.
• Present an understanding of how the economy plays a role in dairy, historically.
• Complete project work as assigned.

• Are working towards the completion of a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Are proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Are a quick learner with professional demeanor.
• Have knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
• Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
• Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
• Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
