Job Description

About Resident:

Resident is not a restaurant. We are a VC-backed culinary events platform that is reimagining where, when, and how people dine. We leverage the 'sharing' economy, similar to Uber and Airbnb, to host our Michelin-grade events in underutilized luxury spaces across NYC. After 2,000+ events and quadrupling our business in both 2021 and 2022 (1500% growth over 2 years), we were named by Inc Magazine as the #1 fastest-growing dining company in the US (381st overall) - and we’re just getting started!

We bring in chefs from the world’s best restaurants to host intimate dinners in luxury apartments and members-only clubs. With experience at restaurants including Blue Hill, Carbone, Eleven Madison Park, Noma, and Per Se, we merge the elegance of Michelin dining with the excitement of a dinner party.

Our brand’s focus is centered around planning and executing experiences ranging from client entertainment dinners, cocktail parties, fashion shows, brand activations, press events, and more for Fortune 1000 brands, production management companies and private clients. See here for our private events presentation. In addition to hosting private events, we host ticketed dinners for the public to build brand awareness.

Select investors include Valor Equity Partners (invested in: Tesla, SpaceX, Reddit), Bienville Capital (invested in: Zola, Qualia, and Ro), Quality Branded (owners of: Smith & Wollensky , Quality Italian ), and Mike Kennedy (co-owner: Olmsted + Maison Yaki ).
