Entry Level Data Scientist We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry Level Data Scientist to join a leading organization in commercial enzyme production. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a solid experience in data analysis and programming to gain valuable experience in managing data pipelines and supporting applied data science projects in a production environment. You will collaborate with seasoned engineers and data scientists to ensure efficient data flow, robust analysis, and continuous learning. Responsibilities: Operate and maintain industrial data pipelines, ensuring consistent data ingestion, transformation, and delivery from remote factory systems. Write and monitor data processing jobs in Python to clean, validate, and prepare time series and event data for downstream use. Develop basic statistical summaries, trend detection tools, and anomaly monitors to support operational analytics and model development. Collaborate with engineers and scientists to define data needs, assess data quality, and refine feature engineering strategies. Support ongoing data science initiatives by preparing datasets, running model inference jobs, and building evaluation reports. Contribute to the development and documentation of tools, dashboards, and ETL workflows to support reproducibility and observability. Gain exposure to streaming data technologies (e.g., Apache Pulsar), containerized workflows (Docker), and distributed systems architecture. Understand and contribute to the broader ecosystem of operational technology, including interactions between the data layer and industrial control systems. Essential Skills: Solid foundation in Python Experience with pandas Motivated to learn and comfortable asking questions Ability to work independently with mentorship Strong communication skills Team-oriented attitude Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience or coursework in data science is preferred, or a strong interest in learning it Exposure to modern development tools like Git, Docker, and VS Code is a plus Familiarity with web development concepts, including the request/response cycle, APIs, and basic data structures and algorithms Work Environment: This is a hybrid role with onsite presence required on Mondays and Wednesdays.
