Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to support the National Background Investigative Service (NBIS). The Data Engineers will assist to build and maintain the data pipelines and infrastructure that power our insights-driven solutions. You will play a crucial role in collecting, transforming, and storing data from diverse sources, ensuring its quality, accessibility, and reliability for analysis and decision-making. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to expand their expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies within a dynamic team delivering impactful solutions to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Analyzes user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS. Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests. Coordinates closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field. 2 years minimum of relevant experience. Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks including Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask), JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Vue, Svelte, React), and Java (Spring Boot) Experience developing AWS cloud solutions with a specific focus on data services such as S3, RDS, and EMR US Citizenship required with an active Secret clearance or interim Secret clearance. The estimated salary range is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00, commensurate on experience, technical expertise, certifications, and clearance level. Primary work location is the Washington DC Metro area.
