Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Dance Instructor/
Choreographer to join our team. We provide a full recreational program in dance & acro classes in addition to housing an Intensive competition team ages 5-18. We’re looking to hire a dance professional capable of working in both departments! Genres we’re interested in hiring for include Int/Adv teachers in Modern, ballet, tap, jazz, acro, contemporary and dance conditioning.
Duties:
-2 years teaching experience preferred
- Develop and implement engaging dance lessons for students
- Instruct students on proper dance technique
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Choreograph dance routines for competitions, performances and recitals
Skills:
- Experience in lesson planning for dance classes
- Knowledge in three or more of the following genres: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Pom, Lyrical, Pointe, and Musical Theatre.
- Ability to work with students of all ages, including children and adults
- Familiarity with curriculum development for dance programs
- Background in early childhood education is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills
