Construction Project Manager

Columbia, SC | On-Site

A well-established local General Contractor with a strong and growing backlog is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their Columbia, SC team. This company focuses on Commercial, Industrial, and Medical construction and is known for building long-term client relationships through quality execution and accountability.

This is an opportunity to step into a true builder role , managing meaningful projects locally while working alongside an experienced, collaborative leadership team.

What You’ll Be Building:

• New Ground-up and Renovation projects across the Columbia market
• Commercial, industrial, and medical facilities
• Typical project sizes ranging from $5M to $50M+
• High-visibility work for repeat clients and regional owners

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage projects from buyout through closeout (YOUR PROJECT YOUR WAY!)
• Lead budgeting, scheduling, buyout, and cost control
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
• Maintain clear communication with owners and internal leadership
• Ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence on all projects
• Partner closely with estimating, preconstruction, and field teams

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
• Experience managing commercial construction projects end-to-end
• Ground-up and renovation experience preferred
• Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management
• Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and take ownership of results
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred (not required)
