Job Summary: We are looking for a Cobol Consultant with strong experience in mainframe technologies to support and enhance legacy systems. The ideal candidate will work on batch and online applications, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to system improvements. This role requires expertise in Cobol programming and familiarity with related tools and environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Cobol. Work with JCL, VSAM/DB2, and Endevor for job control and version management. Utilize TSO for interactive system operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical requirements. Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint deliverables. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments. Required Qualifications: Proficiency in Cobol programming. Hands-on experience with JCL, VSAM, DB2, Endevor, and TSO. Strong understanding of mainframe environments and batch processing. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
