CNC Setup Technician/Operator – 1st Shift (Direct Hire)
We are supporting our client, a leading Tier-1 automotive manufacturer, in sourcing and hiring for a CNC Setup Technician/Operator (CNC Setup 3) role on first shift . This is a direct hire opportunity offering growth, stability, and a strong benefits package.
What You’ll Do:
Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
Select tools, materials, and fixtures, ensuring accurate setups and production efficiency
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes
Measure, examine, and test completed units using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventive maintenance as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with engineering and production teams
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of machining and/or manufacturing experience
Experience with CNC setups (deep hole drilling a plus)
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting ability
Ability to lift 20–50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Basic blueprint reading and machining math skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed
