Hiring CDL Class B Driver in Harrisburg, PA! $20 an Hour + Incentive Pay!

Job Description

We are seeking dependable local CDL B Truck Drivers to manually unload and deliver various products, including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies, to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build strong relationships with each customer through their positive, friendly attitude and their understanding of customer operations to meet needs and expectations. This position is "Touch Freight" with a start time from 3am-6am.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre and post trips of equipment.
• Keep track of hours of service using mobile ELD.
• Unload customer products utilizing a pump jack and hand truck.
• Utilize the Point of Delivery system to scan customer products during delivery.
• Reconcile any product shorts or damages on customer invoices and the POD system.
• Manage invoices, manifests, pick-up slips, and COD payments from customers.
• Successfully pass driving and knowledge proficiency tests.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A valid CDL Class B
• Comfort with backing and operating heavy machinery.
• Recent driving school graduates are welcome.
• A customer service-friendly personality, as drivers represent the company during deliveries.

Work Environment

Work involves physical labor, including moving freight without a lift gate using a dolly. Drivers operate a Class A 53-foot refrigerated truck with a lift gate. Physical requirements include standing, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 100 pounds. The work environment involves varying temperatures, including seasonal heat, cold, and refrigerated settings, as well as exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Conditions may include noisy environments and poor ventilation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $47840.00/yr.
