About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Construction Project Management to lead and oversee the successful execution of multifamily and mixed-use projects in Orange County. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing project documentation, contracts, budgets, and schedules, and utilizing various project management tools to maintain accurate tracking and reporting. The AVP will also be tasked with interpreting technical documents, driving deadlines across multiple projects, and providing leadership and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers. Applicants must have an Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction management or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in managing multifamily and mixed-use projects. Proficiency in Procore, CPM scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office is required, along with strong skills in contract negotiation, budgeting, and subcontract administration. The role demands the ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical reports, as well as effective leadership and mentoring skills. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and will be expected to contribute to the development of scopes of work for new construction and rehabilitation projects.
