Job Description

The Department of Digital Media Arts at Huntington University Peoria, AZ invites applicants for a tenure-track position in Film Production beginning Fall 2025. The candidate will be committed first and foremost to teaching and is expected to continue professional work and help grow and give shape to our award-winning film production program ranked #2 in the nation according to the Broadcast Education Association. The focus will be to nurture and prepare students to excel in their artistic expression in the classroom and to channel their God- given talents towards successful careers in film by giving oversight and production assistance on short and feature length films.

QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT:

  • Film production experience required.
  • Teaching experience in cinematography, sound mixing, and/or post-production.
  • 5-year’s experience in professional film production, cinematography, post-production, and/or sound mixing preferred.
  • Preferred terminal degree (MFA or Ph.D.)
  • Evidence of spirit of collegiality.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Energetic, student-centered, effective teacher-mentor.
