Job Description
Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position in Public Speaking beginning in January 2026. The Public Speaking course is required for all SMC students as part of the college's general education curriculum. The successful candidate will offer one in-person evening course in Public Speaking.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be familiar with best practices in pedagogy, and have experience as a teacher of Public Speaking. Contract may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success.
Required qualifications include a master's degree in the field of Communications or a Master's Degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Speech/Communication.
Candidates must be available to teach on campus in the evening during the week.
